Dear newspaper dude,
I Johnny Tremain am sending you this letter to so you can post this on the newspaper and let the whole town know about the tragic injury that I, the best silversmith, have had. I was to put silver on a bucket that was ordered by MR. HANCOCK, the basket was completely perfect and so was everything else until my stupid, pig nose partner, dove handed me a cracked bottle to pour the silver in. At first I didn’t notice that it had a major crack but later when I went to take the pot out of the furnace, I noticed that it had a crack but it was too late, the bottle exploded onto my hand and the burning hot silver splashed all over my hand. It felt like melted hot lava was put on to my hand. At first it hurt me a lot but as time passed by the pain soared itself away. After this event I was to be locked in a Birth/Death room until I was to get better. After a couple of weeks I finally took of the bandage around my hand and was completely shocked!!. My thumb was stuck to my closed hand making it look like an unusual fist and I wasn’t even able to move my hand anymore. I now think my life is worth less because of the fact that I cant be a silver smith anymore, this is very bad because silver-smithing is the talent I have and now just because of one accident it has been all washed away! I do nothing now except for running this family errand, fetching the water and coal is my every day process. I am no more seen as a silver smith in this family, to this family I’m not even worth a coin.
Sincerely,
Johnny Tremain
Dear Johnny,
I feel sad for what has happened to you but I don’t really feel pity for you as much as all others do. First of all you think too high of yourself calling yourself the best silver smith. Second I don’t like how you say that the only skill you have is silver smithing, that cant be true you must have an other skill…go out in the free and open world and try something, try something new! You are also giving up too fast, just because you cant move your hand doesn’t mean that your life is going to end! You should try everyday a certain exercise for your hand so that in a way your hand will one day open! This exercise that you will have to do is going to be painful but if you chose the right type it will be woth it at the end! Start with trying to release the thumb first and then slowly progress into trying to opening the hand. Well that’s all I got to say and yes this will be on the newspaper
Sincerely,The newspaper dude A.K.A Thomas Jefferson
